Contrary to popular belief, anger is normal

Anger is one of mankind’s most shared emotions.  Anger is one emotion we all have in common regardless of race, Angry cookreligion, culture, economic status or age. Anger is often viewed as a negative emotion and one we need to suppress.  Anger serves many purposes, and while it is often used inappropriately, it can also be a powerful invention.

The primary issue with anger is that it usually masks another emotion.  It is much easier to express anger, for example, then it is to express sadness or fear.  Our more primary emotions are the ones that we lack the the ability to communicate and therefore we use anger.  The recipient of the anger is often confused and may not understand where the anger is coming from.  The reason most people don’t actually talk about their more primary feelings is that it makes them feel vulnerable.

The question beckons, how can we learn how to be more expressive of how we really feel instead of using anger as a decoy?  One realistic answer, is to take an anger management class or an online anger management class.  Such courses will teach skills in effective communication skills and other ways to reduce anger.  Participants will learn how to assert themselves in a positive and constructive way instead of using anger, which often has damaging effects.

Take the time to find a an anger management program.  If could be a real relationship saver!
